It's been too long....

I'm still in the land of the living. Lots of changes here in my world....

First off...I'd like to say I couldn't be happier with my Phase 1 of Anatomy. I completed with a       golden ticket and on my way to Phase 2 for summer school. Thankfully, I met an super fun friend in Anatomy 1 that decided she wanted to end her summer social life and take Anatomy 2 with me this summer!
WISH US LUCK!

After I finish summer school at the end of June, I will look like this......

So the wedding that I had told you guys about was a few weeks ago. It was such a pretty wedding (as they all are). It was very relaxing...the bride was extremely flexible and pretty low key..which makes it easy for the bridesmaids. It was in Sonoita, Arizona. If you are not familiar,...which I wasn't either. It's a small, one stoplight town (with a gas station that doesn't sell gas) and is known as a wine country. Many winery's throughout the town. The wedding was actually at a vineyard, but had just been purchased so everything had just been planted, but pretty scenery!

(This picture doesn't do justice)

This aisle was built by one of the groomsman the day before....

while the groomsman worked...I enjoyed a drink in my fancy KOOOZIE

and of course, you can't be a bridesmaid without snuggling with the Bride for a few photo ops...

The hair..not to shabby for doing it myself....The flower was crafted by a friend of the bride..all bridal party girls and bride wore these...

I aquired a friend to my friendship collection throughout the wedding festivities. I met Erin at the bachelorette party and we totally clicked! Absolutely adorable. Ironically, she is getting married this year too! Congrats to her and her groom to be! Weddings everywhere!!
Love her!

All of us celebrating the newly married!

I couldn't be more thankful for my friends. I have met some fantastic people these last few months and have really developed some solid friendships with those I have know for a bit longer. When life is tough, we learn what friends stick beside you no matter what type of struggle it may be...

I've been able to escape the captivity of my own house with a few prior coworkers at my favorite place....

and have had some sweet home made dinner by sunshine cupcakes and some crafting moments...which always makes me happy. My favorite thing to do is scrapbook...she has given me a huge honor of creating her wedding invitations...I couldn't be more excited with how they turned out..and I'm pretty sure she is beyond thrilled (happy clap)!

(No picture ot insert until she gives permission a little later)

Soooooo....a scrapbooker must brag about her creativities...hence my blogger name..so here is the bridal shower card I had made for Sunshine Cupcakes

...Some thoughts...

  • All weekend I thought it was the following day...aka....EXTRA long weekend
  • I love baseball season because I get to go to Dbacks games with my dad
  • I love my puppy and he loves me....(with or without cookies)
  • My friends are absolutely amazing and I don't know what I would do without them..even if I don't get to see them often
  • My Anatomy course and I have a love/hate relationship
  • I wonder how long it's going to take me to get into grad school
  • I love my parents and appreciate them more and more each day
  • I wish my skin didn't resemble Casper
  • I sometimes get sad because things didn't go the way I planned, rather than embrassing those moments that actually happen
  • I want to know what love feels like one day
  • I love the Jimmy Kimmel show
  • In some weird way....I love cleaning
  • I love my walks with Connordog everynight

Okay...now back to studying....

California Beauty Bliss

So last Wednesday I decided that it would be a fine idea to take a little mini vacation for myself and the Connordog. With the whirlwind of last Wednesday's crazy adventures that you all had read about, I needed to continue on my singleness adventures! I called a good friend of mine that fortunately lives in San Diego and she happily/excitedly accepted my offer to shoot on down for the weekend. I don't think it could have been a more beautiful weekend.....

I decided that one of my days..(turned into 2 days) of taking Connordog to the beach. He had never been, so I wanted to see how he'd react to the water....(He LOVES the pool and the water hose)...
Sure enough...he was in HEAVEN!

Unfortunately he was the only dog on a leash...he doesn't have much of a recall, so I need to get him into some sort of obedience school (if you have suggestions..please let me know).

Otherwise, I had a great time catching up with a great friend and just enjoying the San Diego atmosphere!

So called life in March Madness

So it's been quite the month with a bunch of changes, but of course they are all for the better.

So lets start with the wedding of the month...It was such a beautiful wedding and of course it was so nice to see 2 of my friends get married. I really enjoy weddings because not only do I get to see one of the happiest moments of my friends life, but I get to see how each of the joining families really share in the love that the couple have for each other.
Ever seen 27 Dresses?? There is a moment in the movie when Katherine Heigl explains to someone that her favorite moment of a wedding is watching the grooms face when the love of his life walks down the aisle. I really feel as though that moment truly expresses how much he adores his new bride and all the emotions that are wrapped up in that moment. The face of the groom is without question one of the most humbling and loving expressions. Of course seeing a bride walk down the aisle is an amazing moment for anyone, because as I know, it's that one moment in a girl's life that she dreams about. Always wondering what it would look and feel like to walk down to that one person that has chosen to spend the rest of their life with you.
Of course weddings have become a second hobby of mine and so is catching the bouquet...
(This would be #4).
So with an excessive amount of dancing and and celebrating with some of my favorite people...

Cheers to the weddings in 2011!

**Cheers to Nicole and Colton**
Amazing dancing...

And of course spending time with some of my favorite people....
 **************************

Secondly...yesterday I finally attended my first spring training game of the season. I'm sure all of you will be able to gather as this blog goes on that I absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE baseball....especially the Diamondbacks.....SOOO going to a spring training game was like Christmas in March. This past week or so has been a very challenging week emotionally, so getting out to spend time with a dear friend of mine was the best therapy! You can't beat laughing, sunshine, a nice cocktail and a concert to end the night!

A really neat/sad experience happened last night while at the concert we went to. So a few of my friends had tickets to a show called "Girl Talk"...if you've never heard of them I suggest looking them up...he's a pretty legit DJ. Anyhow, a gentleman to the right of me passed out face first into a concrete floor. It was super tragic, but my inner self within a matter of about 5 seconds realized that no one was helping him. So I became Dr. Lorén and saved the day. The guy turned out to be okay which is definately a plus. But one of the nicest things happened about 20 minutes later.
A gentleman came up to me and asked if I was a doctor. I said no, I just have medical experience and he said "I was extremely impressed by your genuine spirit to help someone whom you don't even know and I could tell you deeply cared for his well being". At that moment, I realized if a stranger has enough passion to come up to me and tell me what he thought, I knew that my passion for helping others is not only rooted within me but shows externally. That was possibly one of the biggest compliments I could have recieved from a perfect stranger.

Lastly, in a few weeks I'll be in my 7th wedding. It is being held in southern Arizona and I can't wait to see how beautiful it will be. It will be at a vineyard and apparently it overlooks beautiful landscape.
Attire is clearly important with being a part of a wedding. The bride was wonderful and let each of us pick out our own dress. Mine is a green (fern) sweetheart cut, "A" line, tea length dress....she asked us to get nude colored shoes...so obviously I had to pick the cutest shoes to go with my ever so cute dress....

We also get to do our own hair...so I've been playing around a bit with the one-sided messy bun look. Of course it will be a bit curly(ier)..but what do you think??

****************************

~One last note~
A very dear person has left us this past week and my heart has been heavy. No pictures or names will be posted due to privacy...but please keep this family in your thoughts and prayers as they deal with the loss of such a special person <3

This past month...

I started this blog with intensions of posting often....but I've been completely distracted and absorbed by an Anatomy and Physiology course I am taking. I feel like it is stealing my soul...so my fun side distractions have been placed on the back burner unfortunately.

BUT....I was able to escape last weekend to Greer, Arizona.

This weekend was one of the most relaxing and enjoyable weekends I have had in a LONG long time! The goal was to go skiing both Friday and Saturday up in Sunrise Ski Resort, but unfortunately the slopes were incredibly icy and somewhat scary. So we skiied/snowboarded on Friday and decided to just relax on Saturday, walk around Greer a little bit and grab lunch at the resort.

I think one of the nicest parts of Greer was the simplicity! This place is just simply beautiful!

Into my life starts now!!

So this is it! My first blog! I completely owe my inspiration of starting a blog to Sunshine Cupcakes and realizing how neat this adventure of blogging will be! I can't wait for you too see the adventures I have instore, pictures I will capture and stories of my daily living!
So first things first, I feel as though I need to explain my blog name 'Beautiful Eye Design'. Recently I was given an amazing camera, Nikon D3000 as a gift and I couldn't have been more excited!! I really knew I could do so many things with this camera, but didn't really know how to channel my creativities accept to myself. So better yet, I decided to blog my experiences, capture moments and share them with all of you! Here is the outline of why I chose my blogger name...Beautiful (I wanted a word that described my photographer eye and what I hope to capture) and Design (capturing those photos and other moments in my life and designing my experiences into this blog).

Make sure you follow my blogging experience on the right hand side of the screen. :)

Excited new blogger,
Beautiful Eye Design
